Q: Who can use eLibraryUSA?
eLibraryUSA is available at Information Resource Centers, American Corners, and other American Spaces around the world. To find out the closest American Space to you, contact your nearest Information Resource Center.

Q: How do I get an individual account to eLibraryUSA?
You can request an eLibraryUSA account at Information Resource Centers. You must be an individual who is member of the Information Resource Center to get an account. Institutions and non-members of Information Resource Centers cannot request eLibraryUSA accounts. Contact an Information Resource Center staff member to find out to become an IRC member.

You must also agree to the eLibraryUSA Terms of Use.

Q: How do I get help when I am having trouble accessing a resource in eLibraryUSA?
If you are having trouble accessing eLibraryUSA or any of its resources, contact the Information Resource Center where you signed up for your account.

Q: I've lost my password. How do I get a new one?
If you've lost your password, you can request a new one at https://americanspaces.state.gov/lostpwd.

Q: What do I do if I have not received my password?
Check your email spam filter to make sure that your password wasn't marked as spam. Next, go to https://americanspaces.state.gov/lostpwd and enter your email address to resend your password. If you still do not receive your password, contact Information Resource Center where you signed up for your account to make sure that your account has been created.

Q: Can I share my individual account with friends?
No, if you have an individual account to eLibraryUSA, it is for your use only. If you have friends who are interested in accessing eLibraryUSA, have them contact the nearest Information Resource Center.

Q: What resources are available through eLibraryUSA?
We list all the resources available through eLibraryUSA in alphabetical order and grouped by subject. Click on the arrow in the box under Resources to see all the subjects.

Q: Can I use eLibraryUSA resources in my classroom or in a public presentation?
eLibraryUSA accounts are for personal use only. Using eLibraryUSA as a classroom tool or in a public presentation not related to the U.S. Department of State is prohibited.

Q: What can I search for in the Primo Search Box?
The search box in the upper right corner can be used to search International Information Programs books, eJournal USA, Gale Academic OneFile, Literature Resource Center, LitFinder, Business Source Premier, Regional Business News, Fuente Académica, Project Gutenberg, and Public Library of Science.

Please note that the search box does not search all journals available in Business Source Premier, Regional Business News, or Fuente Académica. For best results, search these resources directly.

Q: Why do I have to sign in again after I've logged into a site?
Many of our resources, such as Middle Search Plus, Business Source Premier, and Academic OneFile, have their own sign in links. If you sign up for an account with any of these sites, you can use additional features. You can still use any of these resources without signing up.

Remember: your eLibraryUSA account only gives you access to the resources. You cannot use your eLibraryUSA account to sign in.
